Michael Moore's Response to Juan Williams

I tend to have mixed feelings about Michael Moore, and The Huffington Post, for that matter. However, I found Moore's letter (in his typical tongue-in-cheek style) interesting and worth a look.

  1. dear pithy: i agree with the merit of having a look at moore's piece. without badgering, moore gets across the delicate journalistic machinations of the j. williams embroglio. there is much posturing on both sides. (this is the media!) but most troubling to me is why williams sought and was allowed to have a contract with both NPR and Fox. although a relationship that was almost a decade old, it was a rift in the making. NPR was always on tender hooks and Fox was drooling at the chance to make the "liberal media" look bad. While NPR dithered, Roger Ailes pounced on the opportunity to offer Williams a generous 2-year contract. Ethics be damned. Let the best media mogul win.
